At the heart of the Platinum unit is a high efficiency heat recovery device in the form of a thermal wheel or plate heat exchanger.
Direct drive plug fans move air, offering minimal maintenance, with inverter speed control provided as standard.
Filtration is provided in the form of bag filters on both supply and return air paths, aimed at reducing maintenance visits and providing quality filtered air to the space whilst protecting the AHU components.
Additional components in the form of cooling coils, heating coils, humidifiers, indirect evaporative cooling and attenuators can be incorporated to offer total flexibility to the design engineer.
The Platinum range control system is based around a very powerful and proven processor PCB, operator's digital display with touch pad together with a range of expansion modules, making the unit a truly flexible system.
The controller has a number of pre-programmed applications, which can be selected by the setting of the 4-way DIL switch within the unit. This enables the unit application to be changed simply without the need to download different software as with other systems.
This feature also allows for the Platinum unit to be up-graded at a later date with additional functions such as humidity control or the addition of a re-heater with the minimal amount of change to the controller itself.
For Platinum installations with more than one unit installed, a master/slave remote mounted graphic display touch screen can be provided and connected via a simple 2 or 4 wire network.
This touch screen enables data from all the units connected on the network to be viewed from this single point of reference in either a text or full graphic format. The unit also acts as a master time programmer/scheduler and can control up to 30 units on a single network.
With the enhancement of a communication controller card and correct protocol, the system is able to connect directly into other on site BMS systems such as BACnet, Modbus and LON.
The unit will also allow direct dial up communications, with the correct card selected to allow remote control and interrogation of the system and the units connected to it.
Platinum range units are available for both internal plantroom and external weatherproof locations.
Seven standard model sizes are available in both dual deck and side-by-side arrangements. In addition to the standard sizes Dalair can offer bespoke Platinum units to suit dimensional constraints or planning issues.
