CASING
Frameworks
The main framework is constructed from 50mm plastisol faced galvanised mild Steel pentapost.
The frame work is assembled with die-cast polished aluminium corners mechanically jointed.
Panels
All panels are 25mm thick and are of double skin construction internally insulated with heavy density fibreglass giving good thermal and acoustic properties.
Internal stiffening at a maximum of 800mm centres is added to eliminate drumming and increase rigidity.
External panel finish is B.S.C plastisol coating on galvatite substrate.

COMPONENTS
Supply Fan
The supply fan is of the direct-driven forward curved centrifugal type. The motor is an internal rotor type which gives the ability to vary the speed to suit the application. The fans are specifically chosen for their low noise levels.
Air Filters
Panel type filters are fitted in a purpose made frame allowing side withdrawal for ease of replacement.
Electric Heater Battery.
A heater battery comprising sheathed type elements is fitted and is wired in two or three stages depending upon the duty of the unit. A safety cut-out is fitted to protect the unit in the event of a low airflow. The heater battery is interlocked with the control circuit such that it cannot operate whilst cooling is being operated
Modulating Damper
A fully modulating damper complete with drive motor is fitted to provide varying outside air as dictated by the control system.
Humidifier
A direct steam injection humidifier incorporating an electrode boiler may be installed as an option. This is complete with its own integral control panel.

REFRIGERANT COMPONENTS
Two Section Evaporator Coil
The evaporator coil is constructed of copper tubes with a secondary surface of aluminium fins mechanically bonded to assure a good heat transfer. The coil is split into two independent circuits each one of which is equipped with a refrigerant distributor and an externally equalised thermostatic expansion valve. Each expansion valve has a refrigerant sight glass and solenoid valve fitted adjacent.
Condenser Coil
This is also constructed from copper tubes and aluminium fins supported in a galvanised steel casing and is also split into two independent circuits.
Condenser / Exhaust Fan
Airflow over the condenser coil is achieved by a similar fan to the evaporator fan. This fan has a dual purpose. In the free cooling mode it assists the return air flow and in the cooling mode it acts as the condenser fan.
Refrigeration Compressors
Each compressor is fully hermetic suction gas cooled and operates on the 3PH, 50Hz supply.
Each compressor/motor assembly is fitted with an internal pressure relief valve. Also fitted is an internal klixon safety thermostat which will break the star point in the event of compressor overheat. Compressor service valves are fitted to allow maintenance without undue loss of refrigerant.
Filter Drier
Each refrigeration circuit is equipped with a replaceable filter drier to ensure that the refrigeration circuit is protected from any contamination or residual moisture remaining after the evacuation process.
Safety Switches
High and low pressure safety switches are fitted to each refrigeration circuit to assure safety in the event of a component failure or fault. The high pressure safety switches are of the manual reset type thus necessitating an engineer response. This a voids the risk of repetitive cycling at excessively high pressures. The low pressure safety switch is of the auto reset type.
