Design FeaturesThe Dalair "PAC" range of Packaged Air Conditioning Equipment has been specifically designed for rooftop applications, covering ten sizes, with air volumes from 0.35m3/s to I0.80m3/s and cooling capacities from 7Kw to 215Kw respectively.
The range has been designed to be totally self contained in that they require on site electrical supply connection and ductwork connections only.
Where possible units are supplied as a one piece package, reducing site installation work. However, when site conditions demand, units can be supplied sectionalised in modular form, and site installation can be carried out by our skilled, Installation, Refrigeration and Electrical Engineers.
The unique Dalair 'free cool' design incorporated within the range minimises the power input to the refrigeration system by utilising the cooling effect of the ambient air whenever possible. Thus when cooling is required and the outside ambient is low enough, modulating damper arrangements operate to supply a varying amount of outside air and re-circulated air to control the room environment. When the cooling demand is greater than can be satisfied by outside air alone, the damper arrangement reverts to 90% re-circulated air and minimum fresh air requirement and the direct expansion cooling systems are operated sequentially as the control system demands.
Supply air fan and exhaust air fan are of double inlet, double width construction. The return air fan serves a dual purpose, acting as the condenser air fan in addition to the exhaust air fan.
All Dalair Packaged Air Conditioning Equipment is, where possible, fully tested and pre-commissioned in house prior to dispatch to minimise on site commissioning.
Alternative Arrangements
Alternative arrangements of ductwork connections are available for both supply and return air.
Where site limitations exist Dalair can supply Packaged Air Conditioning Equipment in alternative forms, as detailed in Option 1 and Option 2 of our capacities & unit selection charts.
In addition Dalair can provide the necessary skilled engineers to complete both refrigeration pipework and field wiring should these options be required.
Heat exchanger construction and materials can be supplied in various forms to suit particular requirements e.g. Copper Tube/ Copper Finned/Electro Tinned after manufacture for corrosive atmospheres and coastal town applications.
Heat recovery systems can be incorporated within the system in various forms e.g. plate heat exchanger, run around coils and thermal wheels.
Programmable electronic controls can be incorporated, enhancing building energy management and allowing remote monitoring of all operations of the Packaged Air Conditioning Plant.
Software strategies can be written and incorporated into controls packages for all Dalair equipment. Full in house testing prior to dispatch can be provided.
Full site commissioning can be carried out on all Packaged Air Conditioning Equipment supplied by Dalair with a detailed commissioning report, checklist and operating and maintenance manuals provided for handover.
